The Care Quality Commission has rated Caring Personal Assistants Ltd - Head Office as outstanding following an inspection carried out across January and February.
Caring Personal Assistants Ltd - Head Office, run by an organisation of the same name, is a domiciliary care agency which provides personal care to adults with a range of support needs in their own homes. At the time of assessment, ten people were using the service.
This was the first inspection for the service at its newly registered address.
CQC has also rated the service as outstanding for safe, caring, and well-led. The ratings for effective and responsive are good.
Victoria Marsden, CQC deputy director of operations for adult social care in the north, said:
“At our inspection, we found a service where staff and managers showed an outstanding commitment to delivering high quality, person-centred care that empowered people to be independent.
“We saw people and their families were heavily involved with their care plans. Part of the recruitment process involved applicants spending time with people to see if that person thought they were the right fit for them.
“The service was adaptable to the specific needs of each person, this included tailoring communication plans to meet them. Staff were excellent handling any anxieties that arose, showing compassion and patience in understanding the affected person and helping them to work through it, this practice extended to family members and colleagues.
“We heard lots of glowing feedback about staff, with one person describing their care as ‘liberating’. Another person, who was formerly an avid sportsperson but became inactive due to a decline in health, was supported in returning to the sports they loved so much.
“Everyone at Caring Personal Assistants should be extremely proud of their work. This report is testament to the significant impact staff are having on people’s lives.
