Our view of the service
Sturdee Community Hospital is an independent hospital and is part of the InMind Healthcare Group, which consists of one care home, 1 community care service, and 6 mental health hospitals across the UK. Sturdee Community Hospital provides care and treatment for up to 31 female patients, who have complex mental health needs, with the focus being upon rehabilitation.
The hospital consists of 3 distinct units. Foxton ward provides a 7 bedded locked rehabilitation setting; Rutland ward is a 15 bedded, locked step-down rehabilitation ward, and Aylestone offer 9 flats, with the focus being upon preparing patients for independent living and ultimately discharge. We inspected all 3 units.
