Share for better care: your feedback helps to improve health and care services

Page last updated: 5 March 2026

Your feedback is important to us and is a vital part of helping health and social care services to improve. We want to hear from you, whether your experience was good or bad, big or small.

Why are we running this campaign

CQC and Healthwatch England are leading on this campaign, which helps people who use health and adult social care services to share their experiences.

Your feedback is valuable to us whether it’s to report a positive experience or to raise any concerns about poor care, as it enables us to identify where and how services can improve.

Unfortunately, not everyone's voice is being heard.

We particularly want to hear from people whose voices may be under-represented or seldom heard. This includes people who are most likely to have a poorer experience of care and who may face inequalities in health and social care.

Our campaign will focus on collecting experiences from different groups of people and communities, including:

  • people in ethnic minority communities
  • people with a lower income
  • autistic people and people with a learning disability
  • disabled people with physical or sensory impairments.

Why giving feedback matters

Your experiences matter - and sharing them can help to improve care for everyone.

We use your feedback to identify and understand what is working well and where services need to make improvements. Your experiences of care can highlight safety issues, recognise and share good practice and boost staff morale.

What we use feedback for

We use what people tell us to understand the quality of care they receive from services that we regulate such as care homes, homecare services, hospitals, dental and GP practices. As the health and care regulator in England, this helps us make care better for everybody.

You do not have to share your name or contact details, but it’s especially helpful if we can follow up with you to find out more about your experience.

Share feedback about a care experience

You can give feedback on the care you receive at any health or adult social care service in England using our Give feedback on care service.
